Schedule with an ALTC Peer Tutor

Making Your Appointment

What You Need

In order to access virtual tutoring, you will need access to the internet and a computer with a microphone. A webcam is not necessary but will improve the experience. You can access Accudemia on a mobile device, but it will be difficult to hold a full tutoring session on a cell phone. A laptop (PC or Mac), tablet, or desktop computer is preferable.

If you are having trouble accessing Accudemia, scheduling an appointment or connecting to the Zoom session, please contact ALTC@tulane.edu and we will try and find a solution.

If you are having difficulty accessing our services due to problems with access to the internet or devices, please contact IT's service desk (504-862-8888). They will try to find a solution.

Time Zones

Please check your timezone. Accudemia will schedule appointments in Central Standard Time. You and your tutor may live in different time zones. If you schedule an appointment for 2:00 CST, and your tutor lives in New Jersey and you are in California, the appointment will start at 3:00 EST for your tutor and at 12:00 (noon) for you.

No-Show Fees

Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $20 no-show fee. Excessive no-shows may result in temporary loss of scheduling privileges. Appointments can be made up to 14 days in advance but must be made at least 48 hours ahead of time.
