The Student Success team tackles the common challenges students face in real time with workshops strategically scheduled throughout the semester. We cover topics such as such as work-life balance, exam prep, attention management, motivation/procrastination, studying strategies/learning styles/note taking, team work, finals prep, resilience and growth mindset, the study cycle, and more. When attending a Success workshops, students can expect to engage with other Tulane students, discover best practices, and learn to apply their individual learning styles.

Want to start off your spring semester organized? Come plan with fellow Tulane students at the Success Planner Jam. The Success Team will be available to support you in your syllabi questions, share tips and tricks to plan and stay on top of your semester. Have ready your syllabi, computer, planner, and anything else you might need to get organized. The support of others is a great way to hold yourself accountable, it builds community (you might meet someone new!) and hopefully it makes the process more fun. We hope to see you there!

Remember, when it comes to studying and preparing for tests, it’s all about working smarter, not harder. Learn skills to reduce anxiety and improve test taking skills. We will focus on test anxiety reduction techniques, the study cycle, how to prioritize your time, and discuss strategies for test taking.

This session will provide helpful tips to plan and prepare students for success during final exams, including study sessions, how to test your technology, and setting yourself up for success.
