Student Success Responds to COVID-19

The health and safety of our students and staff is paramount as this global pandemic continues to unfold. Student Success has moved its operations online, in accordance with the university's closure and response guidelines. We remain committed to ensuring the continuity of education in this new online format and confident in our mission of helping students finish the semester successfully.

Virtual Support

Academic Learning & Tutoring Center Peer Tutoring

All tutoring, writing coaching, and SI programs will be available remotely. ALTC appointments can be made in TimeTap and will be held in GoBoard. Students are to refer to TimeTap for available tutoring appointments and schedule. SIs will reach out directly to their classes about when they will be scheduling virtual learning sessions. Student Success encourages all students to create a TimeTap account and take advantage of these resources as distance learning has unique challenges.

The Math Center

The Math Center, which specializes in supporting students enrolled in calculus and statistics, will remain open remotely for the rest of the semester using Zoom. Students can access help from math department teaching assistants using direct links on the Math Center webpage's TA staffing schedule. There are separate Zoom meetings for calculus and statistics and these meetings are not set to be recorded.

One-on-one tutoring with a trained ALTC peer tutor is still available for courses covered by the Math Center via TimeTap.

Success Coaching

Success coaches will be available to help students navigate academic and personal challenges related to the shift into online courses and aid students in remaining on track for success this semester via Zoom. If you are already a member of the Success Coaching program, your coach will provide the information you need to sign in to the meeting. Students looking to schedule their first one-on-one coaching meeting can book an appointment with a coach via Calendly.

Success Programming

To ensure student support and academic skill building continue remotely, Student Success will conduct our remaining Success workshops, Talk TU Us events, and finals-related programming online via Zoom. Students are encouraged to monitor their Tulane email and follow Student Success on social media for information about how we are taking these events virtual.
