Mallory Monaco Caterine (a.k.a Prof. MC) grew up in upstate New York, went to Georgetown University for her undergraduate degree (B.A. in Linguistics and Classical Languages, with a Math minor for fun), and earned her doctorate in Classics from Princeton. She has been a lecturer in Tulane's Department of Classical Studies for three years, and regularly teaches courses in mythology, Latin, Greek, and ancient Mediterranean culture. She believes that a liberal arts degree should prepare you to think, speak, and act as a free citizen of the world, and to help others do the same. When she's not on campus, she is playing roller derby with the Big Easy Rollergirls, cooking with her husband, or playing with her cat, L'il Easy.
