Aartika Shrivastava 

Aartika Shrivastava is from Marietta, GA. She is a second-year student at Tulane University studying neuroscience and economics on the pre-med track. On campus, she is involved in Biology Enthusiasts' Club, Tulane-Newcomb Choir, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Her favorite TV shows include Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place. Rachel Wolfe

Rachel Wolfe is from Westport, CT. She is in the class of 2022 at Tulane studying Psychology and Early Childhood Education and involved with greek life. She loves traveling and going on adventures and hopes to do more in the future!

Olivia Mullaney

Olivia Mullaney is from Alexandria, VA. She is a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Social Policy and Practice and minoring in Spanish. On campus, she serves as a Senator for the School of Liberal Arts as well as a member of the Women in Politics club and Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is fascinated by American politics and spent her summer as an intern on Capitol Hill for Virginia Senator Tim Kaine. She can't wait to serve as a TIDES peer mentor for the Class of 2023!

Christopher Moore

Chris Moore is a junior from Shreveport,  LA majoring in History and Political Science. He is the President of the Academy of Politics and Club Swim, on the Mock Trial team, and is an RA in Monroe. One funny fact about Chris is that he once face-planted in front of the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana. Chris is super excited to get to meet all of you!

Maya Lavinier

Maya Lavinier is from McDonough, Georgia. She is a sophomore here at Tulane studying History with a minor in architecture and preservation. She is involved in Tulane Catholic and a member of Phi Mu. In her spare time, she loves writing and exploring the city. She is excited for this fall and can't wait to meet y'all!

Julia Hyman

Julia Hyman is from Guilford, CT.  She is a second-year student at Tulane with an undeclared major and Spanish minor. On campus she is involved in Rotaract and Roots of Music, and she is a manager for the women's basketball team. Some fun facts about Julia are that she loves to hammock and play Spikeball. She is excited to meet you in the fall!

Joie Meyer

Joie Meyer is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is currently a second-year student at Tulane, double majoring in Public Health and Psychology with a Liberal Arts Management minor. On campus, she is involved in NAMI, USG's Student Health Advisory Committee,  and Phi Sigma Pi. She enjoys traveling, painting,  going to museums, and trying cool coffee shops in NOLA! She is super excited to get to meet you all!

Amy Sethna

Amy Sethna is from Stockbridge, GA (south of Atlanta). She is a third year student at Tulane, Class of 2021, studying International Development and Environmental Studies and minoring in the School of Liberal Arts Management Minor (SLAMM). On campus she is involved in Tulane University Rowing Association (Reaux Wave!),  Alpha Delta Pi, Recycle Warriors, and Newcomb Big and Little. A fact about Amy is that she is planning on going abroad to New Zealand in the spring after completing two weeks abroad in Ecuador over the summer studying rainforest biodiversity. She cannot wait to meet you and have a great semester together!

Lauryn Hudson

Lauryn Hudson is a third-year student from Los Angeles, CA. Here at Tulane, Lauryn is double majoring in Public Health and Political Science International Development with a passion for educational equity. On campus, she is a Resident Advisor in Monroe Hall, a Diversity Fellow for the Office of Admissions, and a Community Engagement Advocate for the Center for Public Service and Office of Multicultural Affairs. Not only has Lauryn witnessed a colonoscopy procedure, but she is also a friendly face to see when walking across campus, and she is always willing to point you in the right direction to a resource on campus. In her free time, Lauryn enjoys watching Musicals and RomComs, and crying on the parts when the characters confess their love for each other.

TIDE 1016-01 Tolkien as Translator: Language, Culture and Society in Middle Earth

Rey Arcenas

Rey Arcenas is a sophomore at Tulane from the Philippines and living in central Florida. He's studying Cell & Molecular Biology and Classics with minors in Spanish and the School of Liberal Arts Management. He's involved with the Asian American Student Union, the Tulane Karate Club,  the Aikido & Judo Club, the Honor fraternity Phi Sigma Pi, and the Tulane Catholic Center. Off-campus he teaches Karate at Lusher Charter Elementary School.  A couple of fun facts about him is that every single semester so far he has walked into the wrong classroom for his first class and in the 12 years of education there is between pre-kindergarten and senior year in high school, he attended 9 different schools.

Tara Nored

Tara Nored is a Sophomore from Houston, TX studying International Development and English with a minor in Religious Studies. On campus, she is involved in Intramural soccer, a pre-law association, and Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). Some fun facts about Tara are that she loves Harry Potter, tacos, and backpacking! She hopes to hike the Appalachian Trail one day.  She can't wait to meet you soon!

Jada Jones

Jada Jones is from New Orleans, LA. She is a second-year student at Tulane University. She wants to major in Cellular and Molecular Biology and is considering minoring in Spanish. She is hoping to have a career as a clinical pathologist. Jada is also a New Orleans POSSE Scholar, and she is a member of a premedical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon. Her hobbies include listening to music, watching movies, and creating vision boards during her free time. Jada is super excited to get to know all of her mentees this upcoming fall semester! Katie Waters

Katie Waters is a second year student from Lancaster, PA. She is majoring in Communications with the SLAM minor. On campus she is involved with greek life and volunteered for Crawfest last year. Off campus she loves exploring new restaurants and going to all the festivals. Katie loves to travel and is very excited to study abroad. She can't wait to get to know all of you! TIDE 1023-01 Reproductive Politics in New Orleans

LaKia Williams

LaKia Williams is a junior Neuroscience Major and Africana Studies minor on the pre-medicine track. On campus LaKia is the President of Students United for Reproductive Justice (SURJ), a Resident Advisor in Butler Hall (come say hi on the 4th  floor common room!), a Community Engagement Advocate (CEA), a campus campaign leader for Planned Parenthood, a member of the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), and a research intern. Off campus LaKia is a memeber of the Maternal & Child Health coalition. A fun fact about LaKia is she spent her entire summer as a NIH biomedical research fellow in Taiwan!

Madison Murray

Madison Murray is from Somers, NY.  She is majoring in Psychology as a part of Tulane's class of 2022. On campus she is involved in a number of clubs including Food Recovery Network and TUSTEP. She is currently working to get her private pilot license.

Yardley Borten

Yardley Borten is a second-year student (go class of 2022!) from Gaithersburg, MD studying Psychology and Film Studies at Tulane. Outside of the classroom, Yardley is involved with Tulane Dance Marathon, Greek Life, the Hullabaloo, and will begin working in a Social Psychology lab this coming fall. Some fun facts about Yardley include that she wore Crocs to her Senior Prom and that she loves rock climbing (surprising, since she’s not all that outdoorsy, but oh well!). Cassidy Moon is a junior (Class of 2021) from Middleton, MA. She is majoring in international relations and French. On campus, she is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, on the Tulane Debate Team, a lifeguard at Reily, and involved in Greek life. She once took a hot air balloon ride in Arizona!

Fiona Hellerman

Fiona is a sophomore at Tulane University from just outside Chicago, IL, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a double minor in philosophy and film studies. On campus, she is heavily involved with WTUL radio, Model United Nations, Newcomb Prison Project, and the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. Off campus, she participates in the Well Hung Speakers shadowcast performing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Prytania Theater. She spends too much money on concert tickets and overpriced coffee. Sonil Verma

Sonil Verma is from Alexandria, LA. She is a second-year student at Tulane studying Neuroscience and minoring in Psychology on the Pre-Med track. Alana Leeds

Alana Leeds is from Brooklyn, NY.  She is a sophomore (class of 2022) double majoring in Psychology and Philosophy,  with other interests in gender and sexuality studies, political science, and sociology. On campus, she is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, in addition to being a Public Service Fellow for the Center for Public Service, and a research assistant for the Evolutionary Social Cognition lab.  A fun fact about Alana is that nothing in the world makes her happier than chocolate. Jessie Gonon

Jessie Gonon is from Maplewood, New Jersey. She is currently a Tulane sophomore majoring in Psychology & Early Childhood Education and minoring in Spanish. On campus, she is involved with Greek life, One Love Tulane, The Crescent Magazine, and plans on working as a lifeguard at the Reily Center this semester.  She wants to be an elementary school teacher and has already spent over 40 hours volunteering in NOLA schools. Jenna Rosen

Jenna Rosen is a Sophomore from Long Island, New York. She is majoring in English and Anthropology with a minor in Sociology, and is hoping to one day be a member of the FBI. On campus she is involved in Green Wave Ambassadors (on campus tour guides), TUSTEP, is a writer for The Hullabaloo newspaper, and was a part of the Get Engaged RLC her freshman year.  A fun fact about Jenna is her middle name is spelt wrong on her birth certificate.

Joseph Woods

Joseph Woods is a second-year student from Winona, Mississippi. He is studying Cell and Molecular Biology and Mathematics. On campus, he works with the Coordinated Instrumentation Facility as a lab technician. Although Joseph spends a lot of time on his studies, he loves relaxing with his guitar. His favorite songs are If You See Her, Say Hello by Bob Dylan and Rocky Mountain High by John Denver.

Sarah Gauthier

Sarah Gauthier is a senior from Destrehan, LA. She is majoring in Anthropology and Art History, with a minor in History. On campus, you can find Sarah as a third-year RA in Phelps! She is also involved with the Tulane Catholic Center, Tulane Anthropology, and you might even find her working in the front office of Dinwiddie. When she isn't working, Sarah and her friends like trying out all the different places to eat within the city, so ask her for some good recommendations! Sarah loves getting to work all of the first-year students, and can't wait to meet all of you!

Alexa Authorlee

Alexa Authorlee is a second-year student from Houston, Texas majoring in both Business Management and Anthropology. She works with the Newcomb Child Care Center and the office for Multicultural Affairs as an "O" Ambassador for Mentoring and Engagement. She was also a Tulane Town Daughter and "O" Peer Mentee during her first-year. Interestingly enough, Alexa loves almost everything that is pickled or lemon flavored stretching from lemon cake, to adding lemon juice to asparagus and squash, all the way down to pickled onions, cauliflower, and shrimp.

Victoria Apuzzo

Victoria Apuzzo is from Farmington, CT. She is a Junior at Tulane majoring in Finance and Homeland Security and minoring in Psychology. In addition to being a Tides Peer Mentor, she is also involved with TUSTEP as a puppy sitter, the Newcomb Children's Center, and Greek life. A fun fact about Victoria is that she has a twin sister and most people don't believe her because they don't look alike. She can't wait to meet you all in the Fall!

Rebecca Douglas

Rebecca Douglas is a sophomore from Yardley, PA. She is majoring in neuroscience and minoring in psychology, and is involved in the Premedical Society, Women in Science, and the Spark RLC. Eliana Chiovetta is a triplet from New York City majoring in International Relations. She is a lover of art, travel, and theater. Jess Martel

Jess Martel is a first-year student from Louisville, Kentucky who is (questionably) studying Theatre, Communications, and Spanish. She is currently involved with the Tulane Debate Team, TUPAS, and the Tulane Prison Debate Project. Off campus, she does work with Operation Restoration, VOTE, and the New Orleans People's Assembly. In her hard-to-find free time, Jess likes to think that she cooks, writes novels, and makes music. Really, though, she watches weird shows on Netflix, cries over cute Facebook dog videos, and memorizes monologues for no good reason.

Zoe Jacobs

Zoe Jacobs is from Bernardsville, New Jersey in Tulane's Class of 2022! She is studying public health. She is currently involved with Tulane's chapter of Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's and loves jogging in Audubon Park during her free time. One fun fact about Zoe is that she lived in a tent for a month on a small farm in Western Massachusetts while attaining her permaculture design certificate! She is so excited for the upcoming year and can't wait to meet everyone!

Pragya Anur is in the Class of 2022 and is from Portola Valley, CA. She is planning to major in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Public Health and SLAMM. Eric Burgess Jr.

Erick Burgess Jr is from New Orleans, LA. He is a third-year student at Tulane studying Chemical Engineering. On campus, he is involved in Theta Tau (a professional engineering fraternity) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, while also working as a research assistant in a chemical engineering lab. Claire Hudson

Claire Hudson is a second-year student hailing from New Orleans, LA. She is studying Environmental Science, Psychology and Public Health and has hopes to complete a Masters degree in Engineering. On campus, she is involved in the Tulane chapter of Engineers Without Borders and tutoring middle- and high-school students. Clara Tome

Clara Tomé is a second-year student (Class of 2022!!!) from San Juan, Puerto Rico majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in International Development and Portuguese. On campus, she is involved with the Model United Nations team and Gente, the Latinx organization. Some fun facts about Clara is that she is a certified master and rescue diver and has seven chickens. Clara is very excited to get to know all of you!

Isabel Lund

Isabel Lund was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but has started saying y'all since coming to Tulane. Isabel is a member of the best and brightest class in Tulane's history, the class of 2022, although that title has been revoked and moved onto the next class. Isabel is a member of the School of Liberal Arts, double majoring in Film Studies and Linguistics. Fun Fact! Isabel geeks out over many different subjects, such as comic books, films, and musical theater.

Alyssa Kim

Alyssa Kim is a sophomore at Tulane studying Neuroscience and Psychology. She is from Seoul, South Korea but went to high school in Kansas City, Missouri for four years. On campus, she works as a research assistant in a Psychology research lab, president of Tulane chapter of Global Brigades, and a member of the International Student Advisory Board. One fun fact about Alyssa is that "Alyssa" is not her real name nor her first English name! Alyssa loves cooking and traveling as well as meeting new people. She can't wait to meet all of you soon! :)

Isabel Sharpe

Isabel Sharpe is a fourth-year student at Tulane from Wilton, Connecticut. She is studying Public Health and French and hopes to attend medical school. At Tulane, Isabel is the treasurer of the Tulane American Medical Women's Association and a business liaison for Tulane's newspaper, The Hullabaloo. This summer, she will be conducting breast cancer research as well as continuing her work as a pharmacy technician. Fun facts: Isabel lived in the UK for 8 years and has an Australian Labradoodle called Teddy. She is so excited to welcome all of you to Tulane. Roll wave!

Alexandra Jaouiche

Alex Jaouiche is from Pawleys Island, SC. She is junior who is majoring in Public Health and minoring in Cell and Molecular Biology. She is a member of the Peace Corps Prep Program, last years Public Service Fellows, and works as a research assistant in the Office of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health. Some fun facts about Alex are that she lived in Malaysia for a year in high school, presented at an international conference on Lassa Fever in Abuja, Nigeria, and has eaten 50 chicken nuggets in under 40 minutes. She’s so excited to meet and get to know everyone!

TIDE 1265-01 Indian Tribes Down The Bayou: Native American Communities of Southeastern Louisiana

Ann Kapustiak

Ann Kapustiak is a member of Tulane's Class of 2021. She is from Park Ridge, Illinois- just northwest of Chicago. She is on the Pre-Law track and earning dual degrees from the School of Liberal Arts and School of Science and Engineering in Political Science and Psychology respectively. Along with being a TIDES Peer Mentor, she serves as the Professional Committee Chair for Tulane's Pre-Law Fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. Also, she is extremely excited to be working as a Resident Advisor on the 6th floor of Sharp Hall with the Third Coast RLC this upcoming year. Some fun facts about Ann are that she loves raw oysters, consistently attends the Vixen Workout at Reily, and she caught a shoe at her first Muses parade during Mardi Gras her freshman year.  She loves this TIDES course and cannot wait to get started!

Laurel Kessler

Laurel Kessler is from Irvine, CA.  She is in the Class of 2021 and studying Business Management with a minor in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship.  Laurel is involved in Residence Hall Association, Center for Public Service, Tulane Catholic Center, Tulane Potter Alliance Club, Tulane American Sign Language Club, Newcomb Senate, and Undergraduate Student Government. Fun fact- Laurel made costumes for theatre productions in high school!

Emma Schneider

Emma Schneider is a second-year Graphic Design and Communications double major and SLAMM minor from Marlboro, NJ. On campus, she is involved with Greek life, Circle K, AIGA, and TUstep. A fun fact about Emma is that she does creative design work for Tulane Football. She is looking forward to being a peer mentor and building connections with new students to help them adjust to college life.

Callie Belback

Callie Belback is from Batavia, IL. She is a third-year student at Tulane studying History and Political Science-International Development with a minor in Spanish. On campus, she is a DSC at Weatherhead Hall, on the Board of Directors for 2019 New Student Orientation, a Green Wave Ambassador, a member of Women in Politics club, and is a research assistant in the Tulane History Department. Off-campus she volunteers at the Children's Hospital. Some facts about Callie is that she was born in Changsha, China but has lived in Batavia, IL almost all of her life. She loves to read and is working towards receiving certification from the Department of Education to teach ESL classes in the U.S. and abroad. She is excited to meet everyone in the Fall! Roll Wave!

Raphi Miller

Raphi Miller is a third year Junior from Livingston, NJ. He majors in Political Science, focusing on International Relations, and International Development with a minor in French. Around campus, Raphi is a part of Tulane's Pre-Law Fraternity: Phi Alpha Delta as well as Tulane Hillel's Tulane Jewish Leaders initiative and Tulane's Study Abroad Resource Contact (SARC) program. Raphi is an excitable guy who fills his time with frequent trips to the Fly, enjoying time in the sun, and exploring all that New Orleans has to offer. He can't wait to meet you all and help you get acclimated to one of the best places on Earth!

Dom Casalnuovo

Dom Casalnuovo is from Albuquerque, NM. He is in his senior year, Class of 2020, and majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in math.  On campus he is active in Rock Climbing Club, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity, and Engineers without Borders. He also enjoys playing intramural games. Fun fact: Dom knows how to salsa!

Veronica Petrinec

Veronica Petrinec was a former student-athlete from Titusville High School, in Titusville Florida. She is a sophomore student-athlete here at Tulane University majoring in Sociology, and on a preprofessional track in law. Veronica's plans are to go to law school and specialize in Sports and Entertainment Law  {her dreams are to become a Sports Agent}. On campus Veronica is involved in the Women and Pre-Law group, along with her hopes of getting into the Student Athletic Academic Committee for the fall of 2019. Veronica is ambitious and she loves to make friends and put a smile on everyones face. A friend of hers once said, "If I had to pick one person that could brighten my day no matter what, it would be Veronica." As stated before, Veronica is a student-athlete and participated in the Division I bowling program held here at Tulane! Her main tip for her successes is that she is organized and hard working. Sydney Clayton

Sydney Clayton is from Nashville, TN. She is a second-year student at Tulane and is studying Psychology and Art History. She is additionally minoring in English and French. She writes for the Crescent Magazine for the Arts and Entertainment section. Outside of school, Sydney loves listening to and finding new music and goes to local concerts whenever she can. She's super excited for this opportunity and can't wait to meet everyone!

Rebekah Oviatt is a senior (class of 2020) from Bellingham, Washington. If you're wondering where that is, go to where the Pacific Ocean meets the Canadian border and you're there! She is majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Psychology, and desperately hopes to get in grad school to study communication disorders. Rebekah has been involved in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) On-Campus, and is currently working on rebooting NSSLHA Tulane, the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association. She managed to pay for college with a Shakespeare rap, and has used her semi-professional rap career as her go-to fun fact ever since. Rebekah's been involved in first-year student community building and mentorship every year she's been at Tulane, and she can't wait to continue that and meet y'all!

Maggie Loversky

Maggie Loversky is a sophomore from Glen Ellyn, IL majoring in communications and political science with a minor in Spanish. She is the President of Tulane Women in Politics and a member of Chi Omega. She loves exploring new food and music in New Orleans and is always excited to try new restaurants or go to concerts. Her favorite thing about Tulane and New Orleans is the festivals from Mardi Gras to Beignet Fest. She is so excited to meet the class of 2023!

Crystal Singh

Crystal Singh is a second-year student at Tulane and will be studying English and German Studies with a minor in Philosophy. Crystal is a student athlete on campus, being a member of the Tulane Women’s Bowling Team (the highest ranked team on campus!), but still tries to be involved with organizations such as the Black Student Union. While she comes from the sandy beaches of South Florida, she stays very close to her Peruvian and Trinidadian heritage. A fun fact about her is that she has spent her whole life traveling the world, living in Singapore for four years and Germany for 3 years, due to her mom’s occupation. This was not only a life changing experience, but she even picked up the German language and has now made it into one of her Majors! She is very excited to be working with TIDES and cannot wait to meet you all!

Philippa von Siemens

Philippa von Siemens is from Munich, Germany, but lived in multiple countries growing up (United States, Switzerland, Germany). She is currently a sophomore at Tulane, majoring in communication–woo Class of 2022! She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Greek organization on campus and has been actively involved with many of their events. Something interesting about Philippa is that she has dual-citizenship and is fluent in both English and German. She is very excited to get to know member of the incoming freshmen class and make their transition easier!

Asher Bank is from Los Angeles, CA and is a part of Tulane's class of 2022! He is majoring in Sociology and Social Policy and Practice with minors in Psychology and Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship! On campus, he is the 2019-2020 Executive President of Residence Hall Association, a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, a Green Wave Ambassador, a member of the Campus Services Advisory Board, and an alum of CACTUS Academy! He is also a Wave Leader for the 2019 New Student Orientation! A fun fact about Asher is that he has been vegan since the summer before his senior year of high school, and he loves finding new vegan spots in NOLA! He is thrilled to be a TIDES Peer Mentor and can't wait to meet the class of 2023!

Brynn Stevens

Brynn Stevens is from Houston, TX. She is a part of the class of 2022 here at Tulane majoring in Public Health with a minor in Cellular and Molecular Biology on the pre-med track. Besides being a TIDES Peer Mentor, she is on the e-board for Women in Science and is involved in BEAST and the Pre-Med Society. A fun fact about her is that her dog is an award winning retriever and tracker. She is excited to work with everyone soon!

Lela Scully

Lela Scully is a sophomore (class of 2022) from Los Angeles, CA. She is double majoring in Political Science and Public Health with a minor in Spanish. Other than being a TIDES Mentor, on campus Lela is a tour guide, an intern in the admissions office, and a DJ for our radio station WTUL! Off campus, Lela is involved with OPPRC which is the Orleans Parish Prison Reform Coalition whose goal is to reduce the prison population and prison expansion in the New Orleans area. Something fun about Lela is that she'll talk about virtually any kind of music and she loves watching crime shows on tv!!

Victoria Kutz

Victoria Kutz is from Alexandria, VA.  She is a second-year student at Tulane (Woo Class of 2022!) and she plans to study Psychology and Economics.  She is one of the captains of the Tulane Women's Club Soccer Team and also works for Tulane Campus Recreation! She loves all sports and would love to talk with you about the great athletic and outdoor activities Tulane has to offer! She is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority (ask her about Greek life!) and is also involved in Tulane Catholic and RUF!  Victoria loves animals and will happily show you pictures of her dog, Wrigley! Taylor Hodge

Taylor Hodge is from Lawrence, Kansas. She is somehow already a senior majoring in English and Environmental Studies and minoring in French. Her extracurricular activities include: USG Sustainability Committee, Tu Tones A Cappella, and Kappa Alpha Theta. Her greatest joys include: sunbathing on the A quad, boppin around Audubon, and gardening. Grace Patterson

Grace Patterson is from Nashville, TN and is a sophomore at Tulane (Class of 2022). While her majors will probably change, as of right now she is double majoring in Digital Media Production & Theatre Performance with a double minor in Spanish & Business. She is involved very frequently with the Theatre and Musical Theatre department in various productions on campus, and off campus she is working to release an original album on iTunes. Tori Isaacson

Tori Isaacson is from Gaithersburg, MD. She is a third-year student at Tulane (Go Class of 2021!) studying Digital Media Production and Communications. On campus, she is a member of the cheer team, the gymnastics team, and is involved in Tower and Crescent. Gillian Cotulla is from San Francisco, California and is a member of Tulane's class of 2022. Olivia O'Brien is a sophomore from Evanston, Il, a city right outside of Chicago. Olivia was a wave leader, a member of women in pre law (a club here at Tulane), and she even started a club working with local high school students on leadership through service. She is so excited to be a peer mentor and get to know you all. Tulane has been the best decision of her life so far she can’t wait to share it!

Marley Igual is from Oakland, CA (Dub Nation!!!). She's part of the class of 2022 and double majoring in Anthropology with a focus on culture and Cognitive Studies. On campus she works at the Sharp Desk as a DSC and when off campus she enjoys walking in Audubon along Exposition Blvd. or going to Taco Tuesday at the Rum House on Magazine St. Marley loves a good book and will never say no to a Marvel movie. She's also been a dancer for most of her life. Since orientation she knew she wanted to be a Peer Mentor and is stoked to be a part of your first semester in college.

Nelly Bruce

Nelly Bruce was born in New Orleans, and grew up just 5 minutes from campus! She is a sophomore at Tulane majoring in Political Science and Social Policy and Practice. Nelly hopes to be a legislator or lawyer someday. On campus, Nelly works at the Center for Public Service and is always looking for service learning opportunities to be a part of. In the city, she works with an organization called 'Our Voice Nuestra Voz' that fights for educational justice for black and brown kids in the city. Fun fact: In her free time, Nelly loves doing graphic design and writing—she is a slam poet!
